6am and still raining.

I took off my compost lid last night after put eggshells in so it can water down all the veg paper and leaves I've thrown in

Still wet here but not raining at the moment.

Oh yes, I put the lid back on that compost bin. I've been a very keen gardener the past couple of day

It's a really lovely day here. 11c and the sun is shining.

This has really lifted my mood

It was -11°f (-24°C) in Stanley Idaho this morning.

No, Stanley is not close to here.

There were 2 pairs of Collared Doves here year around for a few years. Then, one pair ... haven't seen them in about a month. A non-native - I suspect the Sharp-shinned Hawks finally picked them off. An Eagle was circling the neighborhood a few days ago. Probably, the same guy I saw right down on the road a day or two before that.

Oh, signs of spring . signs of spring ! The Grape Hyacinth are green leaves above ground and something is going on where the rhubarb will be showing up!

DH and two DD's are renting a cabin in Idaho Springs this August for 5 days. (It sleeps 10, so lots of room.)
They were planning activities on the porch, which is our family's thinking place bc of the 4 Amish made Adirondack chairs, and planning where to use DH's drone.
One story is of a drone that was flying pretty high and an eagle nailed it.
They are kinda loud. Maybe they sounded like screeching doves?!?!?

After receiving this picture today out of Valdez Alaska, i feel pretty good about the piddly amount of snow in my yard!

we're due for rain/snow and then rain today, but 45F is nice compared to 22F for the high. the rest of the week looks even warmer with some days up to 60F. i may get some weeding or other yardwork in later this week. the snow is still melting, but not much left now. just the piles next to the driveway where it gets pushed.

It’s been raining on and off for two days here. No idea how much we’ve gotten but Birmingham was under an areal flood warning this morning.
