Does Jewelry Beans still work to get beans to you. The phytosanitary certificate might be to protect every little single sale European seed Co's might get instead of imports.
Hello @Bluejay77 , your network beans have arrived today! Hooray!
It took exactly 14 days. Not bad.
And: this time with a green sticker on it saying "Shipment to be scanned" (in German). A precious contribution to phytosanitariness, I'm sure. Or to detect evil candylike formed drug samples.. while the real drugs come by the ton in big freight containers via all sea ports..

But it was a neat little surprise-box because for/of(?) most of your prio list beans I coudn't find a picture.
Can't wait for the spring now! 🙃

I wanted to set up a typical tomato and bean Facebook account, but they blocked me before I could write anything.
Yes, FB.. In the beginning it was a neat new media which was really fun, especially when you found old acquaintances from several countries and could get back into contact with them. But since FB started blocking and punish users in large scales for absolutely nothing I refrained thoroughly from FB. Last or before last year I noticed they sent me eMails asking if I wouldn't like to come by again. Massively loosing users meanwhile, I suspect. I grant it to them with all my heart.
And also: when I tried to log in again the last time, they didn't let me but wanted my mobile number first.. for my safety, of course.

But it is a pity for all these nice groups @Bluejay77 mentioned. In general I would be very interested in (even in your tomato and bean group!) but I hate this data fishing. This is blackmailing.
Okay, enough grouched now!🤐

Guy Dirix does speak English also. Guy and I have done some bean trading in the last 6 years. He is also on Several Facebook bean groups. Which is about the only use I have for Facebook. If you want, go find "Heirloom Bean Adicts Anonymous" and join them. Also "Beans Of The World" and "Bohen-Atlas" and join these two groups as well. If you join you are in for a treat of a lifetime with photos of beans from all over the world. If you join these Facebook groups please don't stay away from LEBN forever. I hope you will continue to orbit planet LEBN also.
Well, this sounds interesting! Heirloom Bean Addicts Anonymous! I need to check these places out for sure! Haha, @Bluejay77 I like planet LEBN, not planning on leaving our orbit here. 🌌

Do I need to have a facebook thing to join these groups? I've never joined any social media anything besides The Easy Garden. Plus, facebook scares me...:hide

What a DAY! More bean mail!

Okay, thet're not P.vulgaris but they loosely fall under the 'bean' category - my thumbprint favas arrived, 11 seeds.

Midnight Black Favas, they're as small as regular beans! I put some Ugandan Bantus on the plate too for comparison. Until I saw these I didn't even know there was such a thing as mini favas the size of P.vulgaris beans.

I had emailed Sara Straate, SSE seed historian back in December. Asked her about a number of Robert Lobitz beans that might be in the SSE collection. I got a reply yesterday and there is a possiblity that I might be able to get the following Lobitz original beans from them. They will probably not be sent until April when I return from Florida.

  • Kelly Lake
  • Crow River Speckles
  • Early Goodland
  • Granite Eyes
  • North Town Little White
  • Purple Glory
  • Zebra Night

If you want to check out these bean groups you will have to open a Facebook account. You only have to give only the minimum information to open an account. I used my name and an email address. I didn't register where I lived or anything else.

I'm actually on Facebook as Roger Crow. Last September Facebook started taking down my beans posts. Said it was against community standards. I disagreed with their decision and got rather angry about it and I closed my account for a month. When I tried to get back on again FB wouldn't let me on and disbanded my account permanently. So I got back on useing an alias of Roger Crow and I took out a new microsoft outlook email address just to get back on. I don't use the darn thing. I wanted to post all the seasons bean photos I took and there are alot of people on these groups who know me and wanted me to return. A lot of people that know me show up at the seed swaps I go to also. Those people that know me recognized me from the last name. They knew it was me.

That is so bizarre that posting bean photos would go against community standards! And that you couldn't get back on is even crazier. Confirms my suspicions that facebook is a satellite of the death star.

Congratulations @BeanieQueen ! It seems that the German interpretation of the EU directives is less restrictive than the Polish and French ones.
