Waiting for the herbal tea ~ Good Morning!
Tastes change. I was busy yesterday, away from home. Had to make a midday return but then left again. (Needed to adjust ventilation in greenhouse because of weather changes, don't you know
.) I forgot to finish yesterday's tea. There is a first during this off-season!
Had gone back yesterday to trying the mix without the dried anise hyssop. Nah, it's contributing something even if I can't taste it after the steep. Surprisingly.
Ding Dang It! I will be happy to be back to the fresh herbs. You might be surprised after hearing about me messing around with this concoction that I am happy with lemon verbena by itself. Adding fresh anise hyssop makes it delightful. Done. Fresh makes the difference. I was pleased to see one of the 2022 plants poking up with new growth in the garden. There should be 3 more over there and then, I have a dozen little guys in the greenhouse - since 4 certainly isn't enough. Meanwhile, the lemon verbena replacement in 2022 looks great in the greenhouse. Survived the Winter as expected and with plenty enough leaves for this morning and, maybe, several more. I am leaving it strictly alone! Grow you nice, healthy plant

Good Morning. Wheaties with raisins and sliced banana in the bowl, oolong in the cup, herbal steeping on the stove ...
Thinking of posting a thread on Coleus amboinicus, synonym Plectranthus amboinicus, Cuban thyme etc etc ... We call it broad-leaf thyme. Wikipedia doesn't even list that name. It would be ridiculous to edit it in with all the others.
I didn't know until this year that some consider it a coleus. It's such an easy house plant DW has had them for years. They thrive with just a little light through the Winter and burst forth with new growth as soon as Spring arrives. Easily propagated.
On to the herbal tea. No, not the Cuban thyme, altho I have tried that for a cough. It seems to work. NCSU says that it can be used in cooking -- too strongly flavored for me to think about using it! Wikipedia says that some call it "Vicks thyme."

Good Morning. Orange slices with a banana. Pancakes with ... marmalade. That's redundant, ain't it ? Oolong in the cup with herbal steeping in the kettle.
February is supposed to have the Hunger Moon but I am craving fresh fruits and vegetables, now. Nice broccoli from the soopermarket, yesterday. The oranges are sweet but that suggests that they are sweet for the same reason as the marmalade - sugar.
Veggies in the hoop house are growing. Too bad that there are no 2022 kale plants in there with them; they just didn't make thru the subzero Winter weather. Maybe we should have a designated over-winter kale plant or three that are not subject to weekly harvesting thru the growing season. Allow those leaves to protect some plants from the cold. I'm sure that it would work, has before.

I didn't pay much attention to 60 minutes last night but noted how the team asked the Artificial Intelligence a question about inflation. It spewed out an essay and recommended 5 books for further information. They looked for the books and learned that none of them existed.
I'd already heard the story from a reporter who asked ai for a resume in his name and all the information produced was fabricated and wrong.
Great. Now we can have artificial intelligence lying to us about news and information. So, being suspicious only on April Fools Day of news stories has long been known to be inadequate but now we can just contentedly say, "Siri, lie to me." And, count on nonsense coming from machines.

On second cup of coffee. Day is dawning and I’ll be outside getting chores done shortly. Taking my car to the body shop to repair the damage done by the squirrel this morning. Can pick it up tomorrow. Stupid squirrel.

i could use some of that. congestion, spring allergies (Mom thinks i'm sick), blah...
no breakfast yet. not sure what i'll have. peanut butter and brown sugar toast sounds good. perhaps with some cinamon.

Good Morning everyone!
Currently under a FIRE WEATHER ALERT until 8pm, it started yesterday but whenever I go outside to have a cigarette I always make sure it's completely out before walking away from the ashtray. I don't really smoke anymore just have a couple extra when FH is home.
There's only about 1/2 cup of sludge remaining unless @baymule has gotten to it already.
I found out that I have a PECAN tree right in my backyard so looking forward to Sept-Nov when they can be harvested unless squirrels and other rodents get to them first. There's also Black English walnuts along the alley behind my house.
Yesterday was on the chilly side only 65 (and yes I know some of you would love that temp right now) but today is suppose to be even better with a high of 75 and for the next three weeks supposed to have good to great weather which is awesome seeing how my B-Day is right in that timeline.

Just had a traffic jam on my dead end dirt road. A truck heading out saw the school bus coming and backed up on a cattle guard at the end of my driveway. Not my cattle guard. Another truck pulling a stock trailer pulled up, getting out of the way of the school bus. The bus went by, the trucks went their way, traffic jam resolved.
