cosmos planted and watered, but not really sure how well this is going to go because i tried something different.
normally i would scratch a shallow trench and put some seeds in there and then gently cover them up and then water in.
the garden soil back there is so hard and clumpy and shallowly cultivated that i could not easily get any kind of trench put in so while i did cultivate it to break up some of he clumps the rest were going to have to stay and break down with the rains and whatever the elements throw at them.
i sprinkled seeds along "rowsishes" and then used the cultivator to encourage some seeds to be partially covered by some dirt and debris, but i'm sure a fair number of them are not covered. i also walked on them a few times just in case that would help. then watered them as well as i could using the watering cans.
tomorrow i'll get the hoses hooked up - it's almost that time (beans, peppers, tomatoes, onions)... and give them and the peas a good soaking.
