I know there is a million threads here about potatos but I can't find anything on this subject. I never knew there was an indeterminate potato until earlier today.
I know that with determinate potatos you wait until the plant dies normally to dig your potatos. But how do you know when to...
Wow, that is great. One of the colleges here has a community garden but nothing about it is free. LOL Of course you can volunteer to work in it a few hours a week and reap some of the harvest.
Love your garden. The wire works are wonderful. Tell your girlfriends to be on the look out for birdcages too. I have seen some really wonderful ones out and about that look beautiful.
I have feverfew envy. All mine died in this awful heat we are having.
I have a question. Does what you...
Well, you can't be to stupid. You figured it out. Not to mention it actually grew. To me that makes you a pretty smart gardener.
(Now the reason I think you are smart) I do that kind of stuff all the time in my garden. If it wasn't marked I would be so confused most of the time. LOL

Around here its squirrels take a bite and the ants take advantage. If I don't remove the ones the squirrels have damaged daily I have ants everywhere in my strawberries.
We have a source of horse manure. Stable right down the road just piles it up. We went this year with the tractor and trailer and loaded up. DH is talking about going back for a couple more loads to sit here until next year. Never thougth about just trying to grow something in that alone...
Your garden looks so good. Love the dog. What a face?
As for the chickens not telling you about the chicken poo - well, you just gotta know - its a girl thang. They could not help it so therefore they should not suffer any repercussions.
I do have a question. How did you end up with only...
I have no clue what it is but if its a cross don't just assume its fruit won't be good.
We had some volunteers that we thought were squash. Turns out it crossed with something last year. Not sure but we think it might be our squash and neighbors gourds. At any rate - it vines from this...
Thanks for the info on the shoes. Now instead of throwing all those old shoes out I will recycle them.
I love your pics - especially the strawbales. I just wish I had enough time and space to try everything that everyone does different than me. (I know if I start one more project DH is going...
m.rogers, I started to post to your first question but decided to see what answers you got. I don't use buckets but I do use black contractor bags. I just tear a few holes in the bottom of the bag and put in a couple of inches of dirt. Place 4 or 5 seed potatos in and cover them up and wait...
So sorry about your sister. Hope she does well.
Everything looks so good in your garden. I know you have a million questions already but when you get around to it can you answer one more? LOL Do you line the shoes with anything before you plant?
