    Sort of new...

Well, due to weed an frost issues we are doing a lot more potted vegetables, rather than directly in our garden. They were in a mini-greenhouse setup on the porch all spring, and we're just moving some out to the garden--watermelon, and something else which I forgot...

    Trilliums

These are wild. It may be a bit tricky, then? And they're perennials, right?

    Trilliums

We have some nice trilliums in our yard each spring. Is there a good way to transplant them into post as houseplants?

    Sort of new...

Hey! I joined a while back but...never really posted a lot. Decided to come back today and learn more about gardening. I am very active on backyardchickens under the same username, and kept seeing the link over here and thought "Oh, better drop in and say hi, maybe ask about that weed issue"...

we have a new member here at the bird feeder

    Do you keep recipts?

i think my buff orp is killing herself trying to hatch these eggs

Good for you for sending the roo to freezer camp! Broodies do tend to not eat to the point of making themselves sick, and I would get her off the nest and see if she "Wakes up" , realizes she's hungry, and eats before returning to the nest.

    FINALLY!!! We're Planting!

It's been a long time since I last posted on here, mostly because our garden was buried under a heap of snow. Now it's melted off, and we are turning up and prepping the soil. We've planted a few seedlings from indoors, and are expecting to do the bulk of the planting next weekend. (Spring is...

    Our best crop was weeds!

I read in the reader's digest that some people are "Smell-blind" to the scent of cilantro, so they don't tast it right either.

Who else on here also is on Backyardchickens.com?

I first came to BYC after they changed the format, and the format on here is taking some getting used to. Guess it's all about perspective.

Who else on here also is on Backyardchickens.com?

I found this site through backyardchickens, and was wondering who else is on both of these forums. My username is the same for both forums.

    Our best crop was weeds!

Thanks for the advice! My biggest problem was some kind of weed that looked like a carrot top.
