    On the Barroom Floor

I'm pretty sure that sawdust and peanut shells are just to soak up spilled beer and other barroom messes. Cornmeal or salt make the dancefloor slick.

    Hi!

With so many animals soil building should happen pretty quick! Get yourself some rabbits... They produce great manure that doesn't have to be composted...you can plant straight into it! My rabbit herd started with just one pair of rabbits, but after I used their manure in just one raised...

    Hi!

I wish I could have sheep, pigs, and goats. I'm keeping an eye out for a place outside the city limits.

    Hi!

I have eight laying hens, a few tameish feral cats, and a jack russel that I highly suspect might really be some kind of alien sent here to study humanity... I'm soon to add quail, utility pigeons and a pair of ducks.

    On the Barroom Floor

Never one with sawdust, but I used to frequent a bar with a peanut shell covered floor! *edited to correct autocorrect

Garbanzo? What an awesome name! Do you have any pics? Sorry, I don't have an answer to the question about ultrasonic devices.

    Hi!

Unfortunately they list mostly commercial varieties and I prefer open polinated heirlooms. Fortunately I live near Baker Creek Heirloom Seed company now, and they have been very helpful in suggesting alternatives that perform well locally.

    Hi!

I'm still working of figuring out the best varieties for Missouri. Lots of my favorites that I grew in Northern California don't do so well here.

    Hi!

TOMATOES!!! Lots and lots of tomatoes. I'm also fascinated by the giant variety of winter squash and sample a few new ones in addition to my perennial favorites every year. Several varieties of beans. Potatoes, sweet potatoes, turnips, carrots, parsnips, beets (mostly yellow ones)...

    Hi!

I'm in town... I'm too good at what I do, they would be able to smell it from blocks away.

    Hi!

Only the very best kind! And sadly no, I'm not growing them now. Medical marijuana just passed in MO, but the grow permits are going to be very restricted and reserved only for the rich who can afford to jump through the hoops.
