OK just thought of another - spraying foliage fertilizer on my blue spruce - just 1/2 - one side just to see the "improvement" of the one side & burning all the needles off that one side - guess what side - the one facing the street, :o its finally starting to come back.....

OCMG I prepare the same way you do but I get really good results could it be you are in a humid climate & I am in a dry? Could that be the difference?

Corn gluten meal is a natural weed and feed - it does not kill existing weeds just stops them from sprouting.....trying googling found a lot of sited with the words corn gluten meal weed & feed....

I bought one through them, it died.....Here is the problem with them.....You have to return the original packing slip so if you order alot of stuff and something shows up dead (it will - trust me) and you return the packing slip for them to refund, everything else on that order is now no longer...

That is basically the method I use for bindweed....let it grow to flower then pull whatever you can. The plant has used up its reserves to produce the flower and the root is dramatically weaker. Down side to this is of course not getting out there in time, letting it go to seed....then Good...
