I have some garlic, and lavender in pots already, but have yet to plant (for 2 months), peas, lettuce, green peppers, and strawberries; and around a month or so later, black beans, bachelor's buttons, and pumpkins.
I'm thinking of starting a small rose garden, and, I have a few questions. First, which type(s) of roses do you recommend for mild climates, and beginners. Second, are there any tricks you know of to help roses grow/ stay healthy. And third, Which type(s) of roses do you like purely based on...
They're much smaller than potato beetle larvae, like tiny, and aren't as fat or long as grubs. I think they are already fully grown. They are also more brownish-red than red. They aren't really eating the tomato, just turning it yellowy.

The title says it all; there are these little rust-colored bugs that look like ticks ( I know they aren't), that are sucking on one of my tomato plants, they seem to be multiplying daily. What are they, and can I get rid of them?:/
There used to be, like, twelve little developing apples between my two trees, but the deer around here cleared one tree completely, and snipped off a couple from my other tree! MRAH!!! How can I fence them inexpensively, but deer-proof-ly?

I've got a lot of pots, and not much space in the ground, so herbs in pots would be good. BUT, I knew a lady who had herbs in the garden, and in the ground, and the ones in the pots were much smaller and less... extravagant.:happy_flower
