no worries :D I certainly was not expecting to grow a 28 pound blue hubbard. I doubt I will grow them again either. The vine took over half of my back yard! Next year I am planning on trying small pie pumpkins or maybe some cinderellas.

Got any neem oil? Might not be a bad idea to hit them with a neem oil spray. I had all my indoor peppers wiped out by some bugs. Turned out to be spider mites AND whiteflies, but I keep neem oil on hand now. No more pepper cooties! :D

Since my garden seems to be a pretty even mix between success and fail, i can talk to successful and failed gardeners without stepping on toes or getting the pity look.

Whenever someone says their yard is too small I have to laugh. I have 9 ducks and 4 quail on .167th of an acre...and most of that is covered in house, garage and shed :D You can always get a few silkies...they don't take up much space!

I hate okra, but have dried zucchini. I like it. I have been using my dehydrator a lot this year. Mainly on tomatoes, but I have also dried cherries, peaches, grapes off my vines, several types of tomatoes, and next will be apples.
