Would you suggest a greenhouse over winter, semi heated garage or heated (between 62-70) basement? I imagine the basement would be too warm.

We have places called Big Lots here. Big lots and Job Lots used to be the same company.....who knows now. Anyway, now is the time to raid the clearance racks. They'll start putting out spring stuff and want to dump last years left overs for cheap. My feed store has their seeds all out for 4 for $1.

My gardens have never been treated with chemical pesticides or fertilizers. However....the natural fertilizer I use from the chicken coop comes from chickens fed regular feed (non organic) So, does that make the veggies not organic? Or does the chickens feed not matter? Thanks!

I've seen these 'mini greenhouse' things advertised on ebay and other places. They're around $40 and have a plastic covering that rolls up in the front for access. Would this be warm enough in my laundry room for herbs? The temp stays around 65 in there. Or would I still need a heat or light...

They should compost fine....just make sure to mix some leaves or other brown matter in with them. 50 qts is a lot to add in at once.
