I have the brinsea egg wise software for chicken breeding/hatching. It's awesome! If I could find something like that for gardening I would be SET! lol
Is there something out there that I could use to map out my garden, plan planting dates etc???? I'm no good at excel, so trying to make my own...
Wow, thank you! That would be great!
It sounds like they don't need too much care. The brush is kind of low down by the street, I would love to put them there as a visual distraction. You can't really see the house from the street (especially in summer) but something bright red would draw the...
Looking for info on red amaranth....is this the ornamental kind? The leaf kind or grain? I'm confused, and google lead me to wikipedia which will probably confuse me more! lol
I would like to find something I can plant in some of the clearings in our woods. Something that reseeds would be optimal.
I like that wording, thank you!
I order from vistaprint quite frequently for business cards, large postcards I use as information cards and stuff like that. I just noticed they have magnetic car signs and other stuff like that so I thought I'd give it a try and see how they come out.
I agree...
We have places called Big Lots here. Big lots and Job Lots used to be the same company.....who knows now. Anyway, now is the time to raid the clearance racks. They'll start putting out spring stuff and want to dump last years left overs for cheap. My feed store has their seeds all out for 4 for $1.
Thanks so much! I am not going to jump through the hoops to be certified organic. I can't even buy organic chicken feed here, so the shipping costs alone would kill me! Not to mention other livestock we'll be getting and you know chickens  they'll be stealing their feed! I'll be doing...
My gardens have never been treated with chemical pesticides or fertilizers. However....the natural fertilizer I use from the chicken coop comes from chickens fed regular feed (non organic) So, does that make the veggies not organic? Or does the chickens feed not matter?
Thanks!
It seems that every time I mention needing a grow light I get funny looks! :gig One person actually said "I wouldn't think you were the type" lol Apparently other people use them for less noble causes. much to my embarrassment!
I haven't made it to home depot yet, but my local trader...
Wow! Ummm...here's the problem lol If I don't know EXACTLY what to buy on my own and I mention it to DH he will end up building some huge complicated contraption. Probably custom ordering parts from one of his robot part suppliers from work. I mean, it will work well but I'm going for...
I've seen these 'mini greenhouse' things advertised on ebay and other places. They're around $40 and have a plastic covering that rolls up in the front for access. Would this be warm enough in my laundry room for herbs? The temp stays around 65 in there. Or would I still need a heat or light...
Thanks Journey! The more I look at pictures of it...I swear I've seen some in my woods....I'll have to hike out and look later. I'm hoping to find some wild because the 4-7 year wait is soooo long! From what I can find online planting in the woods is my best bet. It seems to be a 'plant it and...
