PUMPKIN BREAD RECIPE: 3 1/4 c all purpose flour, 2 c sugar, 2 tsp. baking soda, 11/2 tap salt, 1 tsp nutmeg and cinnamon, 2 c fresh pumpkin (boiled or roasted), 1 c oil, 2/3 c water, 4 large eggs. Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour 3- 7×3 loaf pans. Bake for 1 hr. Tastes better warm.
I didn't think to take any pictures of the pumpkin bread. I didn't even take any of the pumpkins. They were fairly small but at least I got to use my duck eggs for it
I got the pumpkins picked and got 1 cleaned. I took the seeds out to dry and gave the pumpkin stringy stuff to Whiner, the chickens and the ducks. Wally wouldn't eat it
The only yogurt I will eat is from a dairy in Oregon. The only flavor I like is the strawberry but it's not sweet at all. Even the strawberry on the bottom doesn't sweeten it. I think it's Tillamook. I will go to the store and buy some and post pictures.
If I could get a Greek yogurt that wasn't sweet I would try this. I tried that oikos Greek yogurt and yuck the sweetness of it was yucky. I found a yogurt that I love but it's hard to find.
My youngest granddaughter and I made some a couple of years ago but we haven't gotten any good pumpkins for it so the 2 in the garden are definitely going to be pumpkin bread. Everyone except my husband and youngest daughter tried it and said it was to die for. That's pretty good considering it...
No I haven't but I am going to try it maybe my duck eggs will make me stop buying mayonnaise especially considering the only kind I buy is Best Foods/Hellmans. Forgot to add this is my first year with ducks
I'm going to start saving my duck eggs because I want to be able to make some more egg salad sandwiches. I can also make homemade egg noodles and my macaroni salad. I will try to get some for the meringue.
