I was given 320 canning jars today and about 50 quarts of them are olives. I am going to empty all the jars into the compost pile. They are from 1999 and most of the fruit is dark and disgusting looking. Can I compost the olives without the brine?

I swear, so many people think California is a thousand miles long and a mile wide, and all beach! The Central Valley is a tough place to grow things because of the lack of rain between like June and September, but if you can get water, you can row things like crazy.
