Real nice Boggy, wonderful use of materials.
My husband worked at this place that would build pulp wood machinery. They would burn nice wooden boxes, pallets, etc.
What was so cool was the wood came from all over the world. Hubby brought home lots of that wood.We used some of it...

you never can tell with the weather around here, lol. Yesterday it was in the 70's sunny, today it's like winter crept up on us.. 50's & cloudy
We really don't have real cold weather until January & February. But surely not as cold as yall are up there.
I may at least try some...
I'm a milkweed newbie,lol.
Is it going to go to seed the first year? I planted some in April & it's grown pretty tall, flowers pretty regular.. but no seed pods.
I'm in northeast Louisiana zone 8, if that helps.
I have been battling yellow aphids on & off.. but it's finally starting to cool...
Obsessed, last year I thought it was a weed, lol.
Here's my post ,
there's some pics of the blooms from last year.I'll post more when it blooms.

Hi everyone,
I had planted some in the same spot as last year, but these two got alot more sun. Can't believe it made it though those 100 degree days we had, figured it would be cooked.
Got my hubby to stake it, the cage kept falling over, it's around 8 ft tall.
It's so neat...
I saw another this afternoon!!! I don't know if I just never paid attention or more are passing this way.
Seemed like it was in a hurry, lol. didn't stay in one place for very long.
they are so beautiful, I hope they'll come back here in the spring. Try to get my milkweed started early for...
So far I've seen 6 in the last couple of weeks!!! I was laying on a blanket in the garden, hanging out with the chickens & one did a flyover, right above my head. Just too cool.
Still have a few things blooming, zinnias, lantanas & different kinds of native flowers. I did try & grow some...
Hey, no don't have a clue where in the world it came from. I had planted some marigolds there from seeds I saved from last year.
It's close to the chicken coop, high traffic area.Guess the ground there is very fertile. I had run a soaker hose & it got alot of water.
No kidding??? That's so neat :celebrate Oh yeah, I'll be holding on to those seeds for sure!!!
There's something it likes in that spot. What I thought was interesting this one plant that fell over, how it put roots in the ground.Just amazing.
Thanks everyone for helping me figure it out...
I heard that, we had one of those last week. We're on tap for more rain starting tomorrow. :barnie
This past month we've had 30 inches of rain in a month.Unusual for this time of the year.
Yall stay safe
The monster bloomed yall !!!
They are the same color as my marigolds, yellow & orange. :idunno
The biggest plant fell over with all the freaking rain we've had lately.
Yeah, my BIL tired mullein tea it worked.
You know it can be used as toilet paper? LOL!!!
We've got the water line run about 200 ft,need to invest in more fittings & T's. It's going to be soo nice next summer.
vfem, yeah the plants should go crazy, bayou water has a nice green tint to it...
