Hey Major, the kids got your lettuce seeds in the ground last Wednesday.
They are adding NC to their maps....

In light of the fact that there are so many hungry squirrel eaters around they all chipped in for a new disguise for you.

Your right! Going to find some fencing and corral them....

Journey you are always welcome to come down and pick your hearts content, as for making dirt angels better bring lots of band aides since the area is full of broken glass. Every time it rains I find more glass to pick up.

Love the smell of the tomato plants every time I'm out here picking..... Glad you found your missing hoe...
Oh as for being weedless ....not have spent many hours bent over pulling them, it's a endless battle...

This year the weather is cooperating for a change, also the bugs have been minimal compared to years past..

Major, thank you for letting me live vicariously through your garden pictures!

I don't know what went on here in the days before weekly garbage collection, but I am always turning up shards of glass and pottery, rusty nails, broken toys, bits of metal such as springs and pipe fittings, etc. in my garden plot. I can't understand why people would have used their backyard for a garbage heap like that, just feet from the back door. There will be bits of things turning up from now until forever, I figure. I'd love to go barefoot in my garden, but it would be hazardous to my health.

Thistle, all of the squirrels around here must be in disguise. That is one critter I never see in my yard.

@journey11 took your advise and coraled the the escapes....
so they thought the other side of the fence looked best... now there in isolation confinement..

looked on the other side today found an escape that thought going over the high fence was a good idea...not
his butt will be in a sling for quite awhile for that move......

the bangkok hot peppers are starting to fiery red.. going to dry some for pepper flakes the rest give to the employees down at work...
if anyone decides to grow them word of advice, cage them they are a very delicate pepper plant

the highlander peppers are another very delicate pepper plant they are in some old tomato cages....still have not have a stuffed pepper yet.....

the sweat banana peppers... so tasty once they turn red...

the sweat cayenne pepper.. just as good as a red bell pepper once red...

cantaloupes are flowering, was following a bumblebee and he was going to every flower, he never stayed long enough to get his photo..

spent a good portion of the morning tying up the tomatoes plants .... variety "mariana" from johnny's seeds. they are a very heavy producer perfect for eating and canning....

sweet seedless tomatoes are taking over "totally tomato"
if i take the time just might find dr. livingston in there.... dang thats some serious growth if i do them over next year they are going on a florida weave.

I have some Hungarian Black peppers with a slender growth habit like that. They look more like vines than a bush.

Never seen anything like it. Those are absolutely loaded!
