@Blue-Jay. I'm also experiencing some losses this year with beans suddenly dying on me. I don't know what it is, they usually start by the leaves yellowing then wilting and then simply drying up and dying. Sometimes they're wilting first with no immediate yellowing. The stems look dried up, and the lower part of the vines too. I've seen this occasionally, but this year I'm having a strangely high incidence of it. It's possible a vole is digging unusually deep and getting to them from the edge of the bed, but I doubt that because the plants getting hit seem random. I would see the plants getting killed in a row if it was that I believe. Maybe it's just a year that's hard for beans? All mine were transplants.
