I'm curious, what is everyone's favorite bean for beauty!? I know this is a difficult if not impossible question! It would be fun tho to hear the name of your faves and see a pic of that favorite bean!
Here is one bean that is a favorite of mine for beauty. It's called Anna Zape. It's from California. It's a cross between Anasazi and Rio Zape and it is stable. So how is this one for beauty?

Looking back at many of the posts for 2025 I ran across post #923. I would definitely plant the white bean with the widely set brown markings on it. It looks like a modified Pinto bean. It's probably a cross and in my book it's worth investigating it's growth some more.

Oh! I am back in the U.S. and I have the Frost beans ready to send to you too, tomorrow when the post office is open again. They liked Minnesota! Then I have a list I made looking at the network beans in the fall. A lot of the priority list look a lot further south than us, I am wary of long season beans but I will think about it. I also brought about 15 packets of beans from Pressmayr back from Europe.

I think I would like to do the Potawatomi Lima, does that mean I could not grow the Gigantes Greek limas this year? How far separate would they have to be.
Edit: Seed Savers Exchange says 150-500 feet. I just measured on Google Earth and I could do 370, with a lot of trees in between. Maybe I could ask a neighbor…

Then I have to try again with the Andikove. grrrr.

With trees in between you would be fine with limas. They cross easily. You being in Minnesota. You could start beans early in styro cups with potting mix like heirloomgal does. She's further north than you in Ontario and she grows beans that they grow in Kentucky and Tennessee. Give them about a three week early start then plant them in your garden like you do with tomato plants. Rootball and all.

@Blue-Jay, Otis Stewart, Red Head, Lewis County Fall and Rosey's Red are currently on there way to you and I was planning on adding Otis Stewart to my permanent line-up, so if all goes well I'll add the others since they're on the priority list.

I think I was looking at last year's priority list instead of this year's. I know Otis Stewart will definitely be on the lineup for this year but may hold off on the others unless @Blue-Jay needs more.
