Seed collected from pot #2. Black as coal.

I suppose that is is as far as color suprises go (unless one or more of the plants in pot #1 proved to be different)

All harvesting is done so I can no do reviews

Pot #1

Type 1. (skinny medium brown mottled)
Advantages = relatively early, comparatively resistant to insect damage produced decent amount of seed
Disadvantages = seed is probably too small to be of much use culinarily

Type 2. (round dark brown mottled)
Advantages = none
Disadvantages = VERY poor producer (one seed)

Type 3. (round dark green mottled)
Advantages = none
Disadvantages = VERY poor producer (one seed), plant and seed are TINY.

Type 4 (scratched) Produced too late to beat diseases, no seed collected

Pot #2
Type 1 (jet black)
Advantages = comparatively resistant to insect damage (early) produced decent amount of seed.
Disadvantages = Sort of late producer, once insect/fungal damage sets in collapse is RAPID

Pot #3
Type 1 (Mottled grey)
Advantages = VERY early producer, large seeds
Disadvantages = VERY susceptible to disease plants small, production poor per plant (seed amount decent due to number of plants)

Type 2 (Mottled grey)
Advantages = Somewhat larger plants than Type 1, somewhat more disease resistant.
Disadvantages = Somewhat later than Type 1 (though still very early)

Next year I will try with the giant dark dark red seed.
