Amaryllis 'Picotee' - also two flower stalks.​

The flower is much smaller than 'Happy Nymph' and a bit shorter. It has also much less foliage at this moment.

I just wonder, to ensure Amaryllis can grow well and store as much energy as possible for future blooming, is it a practical way to transplant them in a favorable environment (for example, in a much larger container when there is no risk for any kind of cold snap)?

Amaryllis plants don't need a lot of elbow room, but they do have to be repotted every 3-5 years. Wait until they're dormant and pick a slightly bigger pot.

i have one flower stalk that is just about to bloom. out of about 12 plants total only this one has a flower on it this year. they just did not get very much light last year and had a late start besides. this year i watered them a few weeks earlier than last year.

i still have one large main bulb that hasn't even put out any green at all. the bulb is still fine and firm, it's just not planted very deep and i think that is part of why it didn't get started very quick.

all the rest of the plants are green and growing.

surprise! i have a green and growing amaryllis bulb that has leaves about 7 inches long and now it decides to put up a flower stalk?! funny stuff, i've not seen one of them do this before.

yes, i'm taking a picture, no, i'm not posting it anytime soon... in the middle of way too much.
