Anybody here grow blueberries?

Blueberries need sun at least I-10 hours in full sun and have beautiful red to orange fall color leaves . They also do well in acid soil 7.5 ph. Check your soil ph for optimal growth and berry production. Blueberries require a certain number of chill hours (hours below 45°F) during the dormant period to break dormancy and initiate flowering in the spring for large ripe berries.

Protect blueberry plants during a hard freeze or they can be damaged. See link below.

My neighbor has a blueberry farm 40 acres .
That must be heaven 😍
I bet the birds love them to

yeah, they're not going to do well if neglected after transplanting during a hot spell and a drought. gotta keep some water on them until well established.

you can always prune back the obvious dead stuff, give them some water and see if they'll come back.
My couple of blueberries has definitely died. I will have to start again

I am into growing blueberries now and have 15 in containers. There is a blueberry farmer in the central coast that has hundreds of them in 10 gallon containers so halve of mine are in that size container.

They are a little pain to grow since you have to keep an eye on the PH but they are all now in acidic soil so hopefully that will help for a while. I fertilize them every month or so and top dress with compost at the beginning of the season.
