Baker Creek Catalog

lesa...I can't believe you don't have the Baker Creek catalog!

I can already see you looking/drooling over it and pulling your hair out because you can't decide what to order. :D

Lesa your doomed. Its really a work of art as opposed to the phonebook like listings that many other catalogs offer. Its really something. Blew my mind when I first got mine this year. You'll be so glad you got it.

You can actually go to the Baker Creek web site and read about Jerre Gettle and his family. I actually had a chance to visit Bakersville last spring. The seed store is amazing. So are the people who run it.

I will definitely go there again some day.

I am luck that Petaluma is only about 50 minutes from me. That is where Baker Creek has their other store. I time my trip to coinside to go there and also to buy my chicken feed. The feed is so much cheaper than in the bay area. The store is just racks and racks of seeds! Tons of them! Of course the only drawback is that I have to drag my husband there kicking and screaming. But it's worth it. :)

If you really understood how small my lot was you would laugh about some of my order. Orange Giant amaranth? LOL The neighbors are going to laugh their heads off :D

2 of my other items were mini melons. Our nights are cold so melons sometimes have a hard time ripening. The small ones seem to do really well though. I loved the collective farm woman melons I grew last season.
I ordered popping sorghum. And I'm thinking I don't have any more room than you do! Not sure where that's going to go....

OMG, you all find these for me and I am greatful. Am emailing the pdf catalogue to DS to print in color for me. More garden porn. hee hee.

I finally recieved my first Baker Creek catalog. WOW :ep
I have some serious reading to do. Amazing varieties of everything. It is going to take me a week just to get through the Tomato section.

That's the only company I order from. I ordered and received my seeds a month before the catalogs came out. They updated their site first and I was on it!! Last year I waited around and all the good stuff was sold out. No I just kick back and drool over the pictures of what my garden WILL look like. ;)
