Got 4 1/2” of rain in 3 hours yesterday afternoon. I tried to go to church, road was flooded and I stopped at neighbors house. Didn’t think I could get back home. Another neighbor came and got me on a 4 wheeler and took me home.
This morning I said a prayer asking God to protect my car from my own stupidity and please let it start with no water damage. After all, I was trying to go to church! That’s got to count for something!
Neighbor came and got me, car started and runs fine!
I am living proof that God takes care of idiots. Or maybe my car is proof…. I didn’t kill it.
That is a LOT of rain in a short time. Glad all is well.

My road is fairly dry today. There was over a foot of water in front of my farm. A friend said up closer to the paved road, there was 2 feet of water roaring out of the woods, going across the road and down to the creek. This morning I took the Kawasaki mule, to check if it was safe to drive my car, and counted 24 places that water ran over the road, in a 2 mile stretch. Floods are gone, still water running to the road, going in ditches in a few places.

In the picture, the road is kinda washed out, but there’s enough left of it that one vehicle can get by. LOL
