Got 4 1/2” of rain in 3 hours yesterday afternoon. I tried to go to church, road was flooded and I stopped at neighbors house. Didn’t think I could get back home. Another neighbor came and got me on a 4 wheeler and took me home.
This morning I said a prayer asking God to protect my car from my own stupidity and please let it start with no water damage. After all, I was trying to go to church! That’s got to count for something!
Neighbor came and got me, car started and runs fine!
I am living proof that God takes care of idiots. Or maybe my car is proof…. I didn’t kill it.
That is a LOT of rain in a short time. Glad all is well.

My road is fairly dry today. There was over a foot of water in front of my farm. A friend said up closer to the paved road, there was 2 feet of water roaring out of the woods, going across the road and down to the creek. This morning I took the Kawasaki mule, to check if it was safe to drive my car, and counted 24 places that water ran over the road, in a 2 mile stretch. Floods are gone, still water running to the road, going in ditches in a few places.

In the picture, the road is kinda washed out, but there’s enough left of it that one vehicle can get by. LOL

Rains are back. Got one inch yesterday and another storm supposed to hit around noon today. All this moisture and heat is causing the parasites (worms) to explode. Ive lost 2 lambs. I have several I am watching closely, they are vulnerable at a young age because they haven't had time to gain resistance to the worms. I wormed all the lambs last week and will worm them again next week. A few of the ewes are struggling and I'm keeping close watch on them. It is drizzling now.

Can you afford one of these?
Football teams use a more industrial version of this on the sidelines.

Yeah, I already have an oscillating fan.

More rain. 3days in a row, have gotten 1” of rain. Ground is saturated, squishy and standing water. Got another inch today.

Lost power yesterday. I looked on the power outage map and I was the only one in my area without electricity. Several hours later the line men showed up.

This tree……

Threw this twig….

At the transformer on the pole in my yard and shorted it out.

I checked on the beaver dam at the creek, still there!

DANG @baymule We had a nice 3 inch rain here a few weeks ago. But now the ground is hard and cracking again. Could you send us some of the extra?
