You may aspire to be a duck, but you would need to learn to play in puddles.
I love to stomp in puddles! Some kids never grow up.

Got one inch of rain yesterday. Thirsty dry ground soaked it right up. There were no outside vendors at the farmers market, just those with inside pavilion places. I bought some cucumbers to go with the few that I had, to make pickles with. Also bought some jalapeños to make cowboy candy. And some green tomatoes to make fried green tomatoes. Yummy!

I have one cucumber plant. It had 5 cucumbers on it, not enough for pickles, so I bought more at the farmers market Saturday. I got 7 pints of my lime spicy sweet pickles. Would have had 8 pints, but I knocked one jar over before I got it capped. Hot syrup and pickles went down slices went everywhere. All over the counter, dripping down the drawer fronts, on the floor, on the anti fatigue matts and on my toes. Icky. Had to quickly wipe off the counter and finish filling the remaining jars and get them capped. What a mess!

I took the matts outside and cleaned them, wiped up syrup and pickles off the floor, then mopped. I cleaned the counter top, the drawer fronts and the syrup puddles inside the drawers. Washed my sticky feet.

I also had a recipe for pineapple cowboy candy. It made 2 1/2 pints. Too much pineapple, not enough hot pepper. Would be better with some whole cayenne peppers in it.

I cooked supper, made some deviled eggs with my pickles. Those pickles make deviled eggs to die for! I cooked a salmon strip and topped it with the pineapple cowboy candy, plus a strip of crumbled bacon. It was delicious.
