2nd posts- inside Christmas deco I did on Monday besides making Peanut Butter Pie ( the big one is for tomorrow, pic next to that is of the layers of small ones which Y'all can have 1).
Right now I have 24 MINI (individual) Pumpkin Pies in oven, going to go get filling ready for the 24 MINI (individual) Dutch Apple Pies then going to get sauce started in crockpot then cook hamburger and sausage then wrap bacon around Lil Smokies.

I hope everybody has a nice Thanksgiving! DD is cooking the turkey. I just heard it is still frozen. LOL The kids have colds. DS and I ran errands for her yesterday. DS made pumpkin pies and a blueberry pie. I am supposed to make a Yam recipe and green bean casserole, but I think DS is going to have to take me to her house to help her and he will have to come back here and cook. I am drinking my coffee and waiting for orders of what next I need to do. lol

Finally I made up a plate of all the Thanksgiving food I cooked yesterday. Had only nibbled on it during the preparations. Cooking took up the entire day, well into the night, but now I have a week's worth of wonderful food, and food in the freezer to thaw for the week of Christmas - New Years Day.

My two helpers kept me company while scrounging for bites.

One of two pans of chicken thighs and turkey breasts, out of the oven.

Two organic butternut squashes, baked and mashed.

The best part of Thanksgiving dinner is the stuffing. (I call it that despite not having an entire bird to actually stuff.) Chopping the giblets from pasture raised critters (bison liver, bison heart, chicken hearts, and turkey gizzards).

Other stuffing ingredients. I made two pans. In addition to chopped giblets, one pan contains: diced bread soaked in juice from the cooked poultry, melted butter, sliced garlic cloves, onions, celery, and seasonings. The 2nd pan is for the dogs and does not contain onions, garlic, or celery, but does contain baked and ground eggshell.

There are also mashed potatoes, green peas, and cranberry relish.

Half of the feast on its way to the freezer, earmarked for Christmas dinner.

Sounds like she needs mom to the rescue! I'm sure all will turn out fine. Happy Thanksgiving to you and family!

Our turkey was frozen too, so it spent the past two days in a cooler of cold water. We were a little nervous about that, but fortunately it thawed in time. Lol. We stuffed the turkey and popped it in the oven at my parent's house at 12pm; at 4pm we will head over there to take it out of the oven, and to have happy hour with them while I make the gravy. All of the aromatic herbs were out of the garden including thyme, rosemary and sage. My mom is taking care of the side dishes, so it's a team effort. Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!
