the new furnace we have is bigger so it heats up the house faster plus it can keep up with the really cold days a lot better - it is also quieter compared to the old one. it was expensive but at least we split the cost between the two of us so it could have been worse...
I didn't realize such things after my baking studio was done - kind of shock how can an oven heat up so quickly and quietly.

I got 2 1/2 inches of rain in a storm Saturday night. Now it is Monday morning and the fog is so thick you could cut it with a knife. My sister in law has a doctor appointment at 11:00 in Lufkin. It takes me 20-30 minutes to get to her house, then another 30-40 minutes to get to Lufkin. After her appointment, she likes to go eat lunch. Sometimes she has grocery orders to pick up, go by the tobacco barn to get her cigarettes, then home. I unload, help her put away things and I get home anywhere from 3-almost 5. Tomorrow she has 2 appointments, the first one is for physical therapy so she can learn how to walk on her new prosthetic leg. She has 1-2 appointments every week.

There was incredible fog in Houston, the time I thought that I would stop and spend some time there, @baymule .

We had a ½ inch of rain over the recent week and more like an inch if we go back about 10 days. I brought the binoculars out yesterday to look at the clearings on the nearest hill, not mountain – hill, about 1000 feet higher in elevation. Nope, no snow showing. The mountains about twice that much higher have snow. It's only 34⁰f (barely above freezing ⁰C) this morning with 12-15 mph wind so the shower we had last night should have been been snow anywhere higher than here. Yeah, it was downright chilly moving the garbage can out to the curb ;).

I had the combo jabs (C-19 & flu) Friday and really felt run-over Saturday morning. Coffee helped :). Felt normal by yesterday with only a little tenderness in the shoulder this AM.

I'm hoping for a medical test report this morning – unrelated. I worked on something for the insurance over the last few days and it would help to have some additional "authoritative" info to throw at them. Discouraging, in many ways, that there can be so much difference in coverage for each one of us. Standing on our heads in front of their offices sometimes helps for some of us. Meanwhile and Often, so many of us fall through the cracks.
