Coffee

I like to have some idea of what I am posting — lyrics of a song ... that sorta thing.

So, I look at the character last night and think, now what was his name? I turn to Wikipedia and search for lists of Disney characters. So many movies! I can't find him ... I changed the search to lists of Disney television characters. Go through 2 pages, can't find him.

Shucks. Maybe it wasn't Disney but, I thought so. I do a Google search of goofy dog cartoon characters. Ping! All sorts of pictures — that's him! "Goofy." Disney and his name is Goofy. ... Okay, what does this show about my memory??

yes, they're pretty reliable plants if you can get the ones that do finish their seeds in time before the frosts come along. the seeds are popular to give away. :)
I saved a bunch of cosmos from last year and marigold and I started some of the marigold and they sprouted and growing fine.

I took the sweet peas, onions and cabbage outside to the plastic greenhouse. I think they will be okay. I have more seeds to start. I bought more potting soil today and I have seeds coming in the mail and I picked up some lupine seeds. I have a couple lupine that lived I started from seed a few years ago.

I bought a seeding square and a guide for spacing seeds for DD and me. I make such a mess planting small things. We are hoping it helps us. DD now has 8 of the metal boxes. We have big plans. lol

Breakfast this morning was crepes with butter, maple syrup, sliced organic strawberries, and a dusting of powdered sugar! Sausages on the side. Oh, and 2 cups of coffee with cream. Those strawberries were some of the best I ever had. It seems that store bought strawberries are often without much flavor, but these were incredible!

I went out to the greenhouse outside and I think too warm with the door shut for the sweet peas. I have it open right now and I am going to leave it open all night. It was 30 something and now has warmed up to 48. That is outside temperature and not greenhouse temperature. The sweet peas shot up since yesterday, so I am thinking of starting them outside. Work on getting the ground and supports ready to plant like maybe April 1st?

I started some lupine and I divided up seeds that I am sharing with DD. I put some manure around a climbing rose that is already getting some leaves trying to open and I need to get a trellis for it. I put some manure around the rhubarb.

I am still drinking coffee at the moment. It is raining a little outside. I think I will go start some coneflowers and hollyhocks seeds.

DS and his wife found out they will be having a boy and his name will be Benjamin. He is due to arrive the first week of July. He might be a little firecracker. lol I knew a girl who had 3 kids and they were all born on July 4th.

DD and I have decided we are going to gather rocks to make borders for flowers. I am thinking some areas will be circles and not big areas, but a way to group flowers. I will attach a picture I found that shows some along a fence. I do not have the energy to make a row that long, but I am going to try to do a smaller area. I have been walking around the yard and have a pile of rocks, but DD knows a place we can go and get some for free. I am thinking of get the grass out and put newspaper down and then add compost and the rocks hold the compost in and plant flowers.

That is a couple of lovely gardens. I would like very much to be sitting there, with a coffee or a cup of tea
