I spent most of my day either transplanting corn or sowing more corn seeds in trays (sweet corn). In the afternoon we laid down fabric and planted painted mountain corn seeds which we directly sowed. I am hoping they will do well!
We are supposed to bv get more rain tonight and tomorrow so I will be busy planting more things tomorrow. But for now the couch is calling my name. I
Beautiful, healthy looking plants. Are those bush beans in the 3rd photo?

Guess what I did today?
One task done and now I can amend those beds and plant something else.

Our spring has been absolutely gorgeous this year. I harvested one chinese cabbage and I made Asian rolls with rice paper and even my kids loved them.
Tomorrow will be another busy day of planting.

I haven't taken much pics of the garden the past few days. Too busy planting. Planted all the southern peas today. Also transplanted about 10 peppers and 20 tomatoes. I still have many more tomatoes to plant. Need to transplant Corn as well but that will have to wait till tomorrow.

We really planted the tomatoes and peppers deep this year. I hope that will make for stronger plants!

I checked out your link @Cosmo spring garden, vegan gluten free blondies! Wow! I'm a vegetarian, gluten free and a homeschooling mom! That recipe sounds great, I'll have to try it. Your photos are all very lovely. I made some rice paper spring rolls, filled with julienne veggies served/w peanut butter, sesame & tamari dipping sauce last week. SO delicious! If I had known we'd like them so much I'd have planted some kind of leafy veggie to replace the rice paper.

---> I hope that will make for stronger plants!

With my tomato plants I found any high calcium addition really improved their health and performance.

I am more excited about this year's garden than in the past. I dont know if it's the current world situation or because we set a goal to grow 50% of all the veggies we eat in a year but I am ready to do the work. We will also be able to share a lot of it with neighbors and friends and family.
Goodluck with your goal! We have the same goal :)

It is a lot of work!
