It's about time I started this thread! Last year I had such fun posting and reading all the comments. Looking back at the garden pictures was a special treat!

We are planning to plant just as much this year with a few changes to the varieties. Who am I kidding, a lot of different varieties! Those durn seed catalogs are my weakness!

I have already started onions, leeks, stevia, sage, peas, parsley, cilantro, chives, columbine, pansy, mornings, and sweet potatoes :) my growing shelves are full!

One big difference this year is that I am planting a huge market garden with a friend on our property. After much praying we have decided to donate all money we make to our favorite organization, ADRA, and also two local charities. I will post more about this later!

Lots of pics in this post!

Planning has begun for 2022 garden! I start with a layout of what will go where. Our new garden has 50 foot long rows so that makes planning much easier for me. We already have a list of what and how much we need to grow for a year's worth of food.
This year we are trying the silage tarp to kill weeds. Also soil block maker is new to me!
Since we are starting a new market garden I had to get more growing space indoor for seed starting.
What's growing: stevia, sage, peas, onions, leeks, chives, moringa, and cilantro.

Marketing, Cosmo'?

What will you grow for Commerce?

It can be fun!

Steve
Yes! I am excited. I'm doing the market garden with a friend.
We will be growing vegetables and flowers :)

We are focusing on the veggies that people eat here in this area with few fun things (kohlrabi, eggplants, leeks, ect).
Squash, cabbage, broccoli , Lettuce, chard, carrots, herbs, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, okra, ect.

It will be 100% ministry. All the profit will go to either ADRA or 2 other local charities.

We are also going to donate food to families in need in our churches and communities.

The flowers will be for sale and also part of church ministry.

Our hope is that we can provide bouquets of flowers to bible workers, pastors, ect who will take the flowers with them when they visit people. Maybe it will bring some joy to the people receiving.

Please pray for this adventure. We want to help lots of people and learn along the way!

Small update. It's been a busy couple of days with homeschooling and projects. Gave the onions seedlings a hair cut. I trim them to keep them from flopping over. Once they go in the garden, it won't be a big deal.
Also placed all the seedlings outside to give them some sun. It's been so pretty the last couple of days!

We rented a big Sumpter and filled it up with junk. How did we acculate so much junk? Granted, most was already here when we bought the property. And we found a pile of junk in the woods :( by this time the dumpster was full so we will just have to leave that until we rent another one.
Some friends came to help and that made the task so much more fun.
Also put up a trellis for peas! They will be transplanted next Sunday:)
I don't have any pics from our work today. It was a dirty job and I left my phone in the house.
Somehow, our kids got more dirty than we did and they hardly did any work 🤣.
