Dirt Stains

Everybody at work wears tee shirt with my logo. Winter sweat shirt with my logo. I have dress clothes and causal clothes. If stains don't come out in wash item is thrown away. Growing up my mother had this fear of one of us having to go to hospital and wearing ripped or stained underwear. Any sign of wear they are history

... a friend recommends a bar of soap called Gender Bender made by Norwex.
Bender???

Remember, my gardens are at a distance. I pass by all sorts of places on the way. Often, I carry a better (clean) pair of shoes if I stop somewhere.

But, I can't change my pants sitting on the bumper of the truck! Well, I could ...

I grocery shop in my work clothes all the time during the growing season. I've said this before, but I'm glad they don't have large mirrors at the stores entrance. I was shopping one day in a warehouse grocery/everything store, and paused in front of a full length mirror display. It was shocking and if my cart hadn't had frozen food in it I probably would have left it and skulked out to the parking lot.

But I've developed a mental toughness about it, and if I can't see how bad I look I shop with confidence and flair!
But it helps my mental toughness to be wearing a shirt with my garden logo on it. :p At least then I can feel justified in my dirt.

Hikers and backpackers often eat at restaurants, reasonably nice restaurants sometimes, after they've spent a night or two camping on the trail. No showers and often no change of clothing. That kind of stuff bothers some people more than others.

There's working dirt and there's lazy dirt. Working dirt is nothing to be ashamed of.
I live too far out of town to go home and change and go back in. Not to mention the extra gas and time that would eat up. And the neighborhoods I work in would thank me profusely for not changing clothes on the bumper of my truck.
About the only time I grocery shop in clean clothes is during the winter. None of the regular checkers seem to recognize me then, haha.

There's a difference between wearing clothes with stains and clothes that are dirty. It's common to see painters or construction workers in work clothes stopping at the grocery store to pick up lunch or a drink. That doesn't bother me. What does bother me is when I see someone with no stains on their clothes but their B.O. stinks to high heaven!!!!

You know that's the first thing they do at the hospital is to check your underwear. Mama was the same way. I can't get my grandson (the boy in the picture) to wear underwear or socks! :he
