I wanted to use my granndmother's china for Thanksgiving. Last night my nephew and his girlfriend stopped by, I asked him to bring box down from attic. I heard a scream (nephew claims was shout) then a box of china falling down a flight of stairs. At top of stairs a Tarantula (his words) leaped out at him , causing him to drop box. Every piece broke.

Oh No!!! I value heirlooms so much. They are so precious to me. For a minute I thought you had broken it. But I still think you have bad karma NYboy. :tongue

My Grandmother's china is not valuable but it is priceless. I would be heart sick if it was broken. I hope he feels awful! Enough to apologize profusely. (Sadly, The china can not be replaced.)

Can you make some stepping stones and put pieces of it there? I've also seen terra cotta pots covered with mosiac tiles. I've even seen elaborate walkways and benches. Alot of things you can do with the pieces.

I have seen some fabulous things done with broken china pieces. Imbedded in stepping stones. Mosaic bird baths. Even jewelry made from some pretty fragments. That way you can still have a reminder of Grandma. So sorry this happened. :hugs
