Since I buried a deceased chicken in an unusable corner of my enclosed garden, my DH suggested I name it "So Lucky's Organic Garden and Chicken Cemetery" but somehow I don't think that is very appealing.
Does your garden have a name, mine does.

You guys are making me get twinges of enthusiasm about gardening again. I have felt pretty dismal regarding the veggie garden this year so far, but seeing your beautiful pics of ornamentals might give me the impetus to get back to work on my pathetic flower beds. Just. So. Much. Work!

WOW those are some beautiful flower beds. Mine get so over run or weedy these last 2 summers. I sure hope to do netter this summer. As for a name *the Weed Patch* would have fit well last summer. Most of the time you'd have been hard pressed to see vegetables in there.

If I would have turned the camera to the right, the picture would be of "the dahlia garden."
To the left and across both a lawn and driveway would the "the shady corner." It is in a V-shape, altho' the beds are rectangles.
Some miles away is the "big veggie garden" with its "flower corner." Sort of across the property line is "the garden extension."

This is my garden area when we bought our new place.
This is shortly after we bought Marigold, my tractor.
I love the brush hog!
This is February 2015 shortly after we moved in.
briar roots and bulbs we dug out of the garden, there were several burn piles like this
DIRT!!! Beautiful dirt ready for planting!! I was so proud of my dirt.
I planted the garden, then came months of never ending rain. After Noah's floods came the scorching heat, followed by Pharaoh's plague of grasshoppers, then rabbits chewed through the plastic mesh and finished off the straggler survivors. The weeds did rather well.
The soil is sand. After last year's dismal failure, I have hope for a better year. We have hauled load after load of horse stall clean outs from a horse event center close by. I pulled up the plastic fence and we put up horse wire fence. I have to put up chicken wire on the bottom half of the fence to keep the rabbits out. Pigs have been in the garden since November and they have a date with Freezer Camp March 18.
The pigs have grown since this picture and have dug big holes. They have rooted up more briar roots and bulbs. We dumped in bags of leaves and two trailer loads of leaves and pine needles. When the pigs are gone, I'll smooth out the garden and add more mulch.
A name for the garden? As of right now, @Nyboy 's name of Death Valley seems appropriate. I like the idea of a garden name, maybe after it actually grows something, I can come up with something.
I enjoy the pictures of the beautiful flowers, weathered garden gates, flagstone walkways and all the work and love that went into them. I want flower gardens, but only have a few hastily scratched out burial grounds that hold some very tough perennials and bulbs. I want pretty gardens like ya'll have! I can't wait to get planting!

@baymule OMG all that space, all the possibilities, lucky you. It's making me 
just looking at it. I'm sure if I showed that to my hubby he'd be saying thank god we don't .

WOW @baymule you are going to have more garden space than you will be able to keep up with! All that hard work, compost, manure, leaves etc. should make the sandy soil better to grow your flowers and vegetables. I can't wait to see what you get from it this year. DH is chomping at the bit to get out and plant. So the basement is now loaded with seeds and seedlings.
