We grew carrots for the first time too last summer. they came out short and stocky but the kids loved them. ordered a rainbow mix to try this year, the kids just want to eat a purple carrot now. we'll see how they come out.

I grow that kind too ...

My daycare kids would say that they liked the carrots we grew in the garden better than the ones they grow at the store ...
After an attempted gardening lesson, they were sure they had convinced me that kids just grow better carrots ...

I had not grown them in a few years, but have them in the garden this year ... waiting patiently to see what comes out of the ground ...
