IF the blueberry in the basement window still lives, I will give it to DD's.
I bought the roses to get my order to >$100 for free shipping. I have lost red roses, so I am keeping that one.
DD's are big on lavendar and pink, so they get the other one.

I like blueberries, but I have killed 4 plants so far.
I did my studying up and These will be planted right and watered well.
I have plenty of horse manure to acidify the soil.
Although it will involve moving one 12 ft fence next week, I can get that done, and still have plenty of planting space.

Village business interfering, AGAIN today!
I might be able to check my sugar snap planting and do some measuring so that I can move two of the 12'ft fencing in anticipation of blueberry arrival this week.
It's been warm enough to leave ponies outside 24/7. AS LONG IT'S DRY they should be outside. Fresh air is very important, as well as sunshine, where they get their Vitamin D.
Got a seed order in today, and ordered more...**Ducks turned the OTHER cheek to slap IT!!**
I encourage you to GET YOUR SEEDS!! Order, or buy locally. Food costs are SO HIGH, and your neighbors are getting desperate!
When I lurk on seed sites I see a LOT of "sold out" on many varieties.
I have already ordered some of those seeds.
The next 2 gardening purchases are going to be:
Plastic Adirondack chair, dk blue, for DH to sit in and keep me company as I garden.
Plastic rain barrel (WalMart, ~$99)
I plan to set it up on the SE drain of the house. I can use it to water around the cistern. I can also do overflow directly INTO the cistern if it gets really rainy.
DH and I are buying stuff bc we owed the gov't $0 in taxes.
He is buying His stuff. He told me I could buy some more gardening stuff.

So, as a mayor I was contacted by the local newspaper to answer a questionnaire re: women's history month.
Here is one of my answers:
** Thirty-two U.S. states have had, or currently have, a woman serving as governor. Illinois is among the 18 that hasn’t. Big deal or no big deal?

Perhaps our lack of a history of female governors is why so many have fled the state of Illinois.
