So, you might agree that my plan for planting both types of garlic in 2025, which is after my 8 weeks of bone healing, around September 4th, would be okay?
I want to feel safe pushing my foot down on a shovel, you see.

nothing wrong with planting them any time in September IMO, but we're further north so perhaps give yourself a few more weeks of healing and then get it done... carefully... :) mid-September on. early October? i hardly ever do things when i'm supposed to...

@heirloomgirl, the seeds that I planted Were smooth. I also planted some sugar snap peas about 10 ft away.
Do you think that they cross pollinated?
I doubt they were cross pollinated ducks, an avid pea seed saver I know tells me it really is not that common for crosses to happen in even very large pea patches. And I've never seen it myself. Not impossible I guess though. It's possible the plants were dry as the peas were maturing, so the pea seeds didn't fill out as much as they could have? Wrinkled seeds is usually in very sweet flavored peas, did you grow any of those?
