One aspect of living in a town that shares space with a liberal art university is that the artistic vibrations that eminate from the persons that live here are always finding unusual methods of expression. Here is an example my DW sent me, and she organized about 50 of them around town, each one an effort by an individual artist.
This one is in honor of a wood carver here named Tim Tingle, who has carved what we call Tinglewood in the local park. You can google tinglewood.
I am pretty sure my wife did the hydrant. I will have to ask, but that risks me being told that I was not paying attention when she told me about it so bear with me.
