And, only folks who don't use chemicals can reap the benifits they provide!

“Microbes function by way of teammates with one member unlocking another's potential”

Jeff Lowenfells excellent book “teaming with microbes” is very good reading for anyone serious about upping your garden game.

Of course, dummies like me gota read it 3 times. First time trying to pronounce all the words, second time gaining enough understanding to be curious. 3rd time things start to click and im off and running; building tea brewers and enjoying the results of those efforts!

I should be okay then. 🤔

(🤫 @flowerbug is a big head but don't tell him I said so)

haha, i started out learning by looking around and asking questions and then spending time reading through the encyclopedia set we had and then also sitting in the library on the floor in any section i could get to and i'd look at books and try to read them.

even if i couldn't understand them completely i could make out some of the words and pictures and captions could get you a long ways and then once in a while i'd ask someone a question about what i didn't understand.

i don't give up easily.

Honestly I admire your intelligence really.
I have learned a lot through you and others here, that's why I keep coming back.

I’m sure I’ve mentioned this previously; the number one thing I tell folks who are looking for an “easy garden” is to learn how to make good compost tea! It won’t solve ALL of your garden woes but it will prevent a lot of future issues while strengthening your soil’s microbe numbers. I won’t get into all the fine points here and am just mentioning it because I’m making a small batch today and have pictures!

It can be as complicated or simple as you make it; after tons of reading and playing with it I’m totally dialed and comfortable with the process And it took longer to pen this than it did to put this batch together.

This small batch will be used to kick start the soil for an indoor lettuce patch, the house plants and my indoor cucumbers.

Food for thought!
