Another funny weather one, sound like IA this spring!

the even funnier thing about that sign is that it became a very popular postcard... but in reality the end of the earth up there is really another 50 miles away or so. way up at the end of the Keweenaw Peninsula.

i spent many years up there and walked all of the streams i could find for the fun of it, fishing for brook trout, brown trout and the rest. there's some really rugged roads that are not really suited to small cars going through there, logging roads here or there. plenty of bears (but i never saw one unless we were at the dump, until they closed it down) and we'd see signs of them.
