I think that you may be right about her feeling responsible for some things

— like carrying groceries home from the store.

Since she travels on 4 legs, 2 bags provide balance. Weight should be mostly over the shoulders.

@Marie2020 there are several types of doggie back packs and doggie carts on Amazon. Dog back packs aren’t very big…
I have a GoPro cam for dogs to video their adventures on a small secure back pack.
