After that smashing success last year would ya'll believe I have not picked a single English pea yet? The plants survived all the sow and ice, but the weather has sure made them late. They do have peas on them now, but I am still a week away from picking the first time. Last year at this time, the vines were winding down!
In 2 weeks I will be time to plant my green beans and I plant them on the same trellis. I will plant the green beans anyway, because if I wait, it will be scorching hot and they need to be up and growing.

Picked for the second and last time today. The vines are already turning yellow at the bottom and dying back. Phooey.
