Growing Strawberries

hi everyone ! im growing strawberries for the first time and would love any advise ? i ordered them from willis orchards . com and got the Chandler Strawberry Plant 25 count. i live in zone 8b and they will ship out sometime in nov/dec. i plan to keep them in a green house over winter but what else should i do and when can i put them outside full time ?

from what i'm seeing they look to be compatible with your zone so they could be planted outside as soon as you get them. however if you are concerned that they need some protection in the greenhouse put them in larger pots and make sure they don't get too hot and dry in there as they do want some cooler temperatures and enough moisture.

you'll want well amended and well drained space for them and to get through the hotter part of the season and to help keep weeds down mulch will help.

strawberries are woodland edge plants so they are happy with plenty of organic matter in the soil.

thank you , i plan to keep them in a green house until after our last frost and im hopeful they will be ok
