howdy. first time gardener. first attempt at homesteading. it's been a season of learning for sure.

The corn is finished and gone. tomatoes are so winding down. squash is gone. green beans are done. got a few melons that are ripening up and the cucumbers and okra are still going strong.
I'm going to try a no till lasagna style plot this fall where the corn was. I laid down 4 inches of grass clippings, some rabbit manure and I'm working on getting 4 inches of wood chips down. I plan on filling the area with black eyed peas.
anyway, I would love to learn more and maybe increase my yields. I started this garden late with no planning.....i just knew I needed to get some stuff in the ground.
