Awfully hard to get motivated this time of year...I try to actually accomplish one thing that needs getting done. Somehow that gets me on a roll to get other things done. I do love crossing things off my to-do list. It is a great feeling. Now, go do something and come back and we will tell you how wonderful you are!

I am so sorry, but I am not good at nagging. Here when I mention something once that needs doing and then repeat it once the next year, I am accused of nagging.
What works here is that I start the project myself and find the guys are much quicker to finish what I started.

I realize that won't work for you, but "DO IT NOW" is a mantra I often use to get things started. That and picking one thing to start and working on it for 15 minutes at a time. I can do that needs doing anything for 15 minutes. Enough 15 minutes and the task is done.

Just start with a tiny chore, like picking up debris or tomato cages. Think small and the love of gardening should kick in. If it doesn't, do a little and try agin tomorrow with just a small goal. And another thing…MY GARDEN IS FROZEN SOLID AND YOU'RE TOO LAZY TO START YOUR GARDEN??????????

I was impressed with Diana Nyad's mantra while she was swimming from Cuba to Florida, through the jellyfish and sharks:
FIND A WAY
So, Get to it Marshall!

I like my old "signature."

"When would today be a good day to start?"

It really doesn't have much meaning; it just makes one stop and think. It will always be "today" when something begins. Starting must be worthwhile - why put it off? Enjoy your start, Marshall.

I did get some of the old garden areas cleared :)
