Top photo: that looks like rhubarb to me. The "look-alike" weed has fuzzy leaves. The rhubarb has smooth ones. Both have reddish stems. The second photo doesn't appear to that the same leaf.

Yes, burdock is the rhubarb look-alike. Weed or herb depends upon your inclination. I hate burdock!

Hum, the stems look fuzzy, too. Not rhubarb if the stems are fuzzy.

I should take a photo of our Rhubarb but DH nearly gave it ALL away already! I guess that is what happens when I tell him no Pie this spring. My leaves are more heart shaped and not as elongated.

Does burdock have stems like that?
I should know and I wouldn't have to venture far from the edge of my gardens to find a burdock but, I do NOT like the things! I'm trying not to see them over at the neighbor's!
Still, they are supposed to be edible. Anyway, the roots are. Surely, breaking a stem and tasting (or even smelling) will tell you if it's rhubarb, NyBoy. What looks to me like burdock is the leaf shape but that might vary by rhubarb variety.
