Just a bit off topic . . . I tried the banana peel sleep aide tea a few months ago. It tastes horrible and didn't make me sleep. YMMV

I remember as a small child having flu. My mother bought cherry cough syrup the box was covered in ripe cherries. I love cherries and couldn't wait to take thinking it would taste like cherry candy. WRONG That was the first time I heard " Never Judge a Book By it's Cover"

I was once prescribed a Baby Iron supplement by my doctor. It was a "lemon flavor pleasing to babies". NOT! It was totally disgusting and I doubt I ever took a second dose. Nope, the adult pills I switched to were bad enough, but giving that crap to babies should have been declared inhumane.

I think back in the 70s cough syrup was mostly alcohol. It knock you out, so no more cough.

GI gin, my Spouse used to call it. Lots of soldiers went to the infirmary with fake coughs hoping to snag a bottle for personal us.
