made it home....7 1/4 hr drive, nice to drive in the middle of the night nobody on the roads.. came home to a hay field mowed 2 hrs have about 1.5 hrs of weeed eating left <thats tomorrow>... dw did a marvelous job in the gardens while gone...... photos later....

after a good nights sleep..heres the 7/1/18 update............ part one

the beans...
think i over planted on the lazy housewife's or this years ladys are not lazy.... either way will have plenty of beans..

the orca beans....
will have plenty of them as well....

yellow wax beans..
lots of flowers not to many beans yet....

blue lake....not to many flowers think the heat is a factor...

the corn...
round 1 short stalks this year but loaded.

round 2....all 3 beds are doing good have 2 more beds i can plant in....

the peppers.....
highlanders...yup their loaded and a few turning red..yum

sweet banana ....
dw will be making pickle rings with them...

bell peppers..
hit and miss on them this year...

update 7/1/18 part 2.........

cucumbers.... dw picked them clean and made freezer pickles

and the mystery melon in the cucumbers..

the cantaloupes.. sure glad only planting 5 this year...

watermelons..... @thistlebloom you might send a photo to the person who bred this melon for ideho, that they grow great here in the south...

the green onions.. time to pick and dry some...

dw picked the peas yesterday morning.. bad season for them, hope to have a good planting/harvest this fall...

now for the what the $%^& oddities .. did i mess up or johnnys have a employee seed fight during packaging...???
eggplant in the highlander be interesting to see what kind of eggplant it is

melon in the cucumbers...

2 types of watermelons only planted 3 pots of what thisle sent me, and looked back to 2015 planted squash and brussel sprouts in that bed. and 2016 was only cowpeas... so how did this one get planted on the side... probability that southern hater @seedcorn came down and planted it....

and finally the 7/1/18 mator update.....
the yorkers... finally getting some size out of them

the phoenix... very impressed with them they are loaded as well very nice size.. will have to rethink how to grow/cage them next year.

wow the russian beauties will need to be trellised for next years garden they are loaded as well...

the marianas....
they are how to put this.... monsters this year.... spent a good part this morning tying them up the clusters were so heavy they stretch the tape..

and there are a few bigger out there....

Your garden is awesome. I think y'all got the market cornered on green beans! The melons look good enough to eat now! Your wife took real good care of the garden while you were gone.

they are a roma variety, determinate... normally they are red these 2 fell off while tying them up...will put them on a salad tonight..
really like these for canning all meat very little snot, of course when all the mators are coming on they all go in...

dw does her mator sauce in a crock pot she will add all of them in, putting in all the different types it makes a wonderful sauce...
