Mowed Down Maximilian Sunflowers?

DD walked around the garden today looking for tomatoes and cucumbers and saw the Maximilian sunflowers which have not bloomed yet and said, WHAT'S THIS? I said you know, Maximilian sunflowers. Sunflowers!? She said she has never seen it in the yard. I think the last time she ever remarked about Max was it looked like weeds.
