This year is the best show since I started growing Hollyhocks 4 years ago. There is the most diverse array of colors and petals shapes so far. :celebrate :clap Just waiting for my Black Hollyhocks to bloom, they are close. :coolsun

Here is the group in the rhubarb bed the former herb bed, by next year to be just a flower bed.

Hi Karan! :frow

I love your Hollyhocks. :happy_flower

When I had my restaurant we had a large courtyard eating area which was filled with them growing out of the cracks in the old paving. It always looked so beautiful in the summer & made it a favourite place to eat.

Do you find that you get different colours every year? I have always wanted to grow those very dark ones which are double but unfortunately ours often go down with rust where I live! :hit

Yours look so healthy. I hope your black ones bloom soon. :fl

Thanks so much Gang :hugs I am wanting to add some yellow for next year. I don't have any of the double ones. The Black ones come from a friend of ours that has gotten them from her Aunt. So they are generations old. :throw I am just so proud they included us in the family to past them down to. :love I have been thinking of getting some seeds started along the pasture fence coming up our road along with peonies and day lilies. I Think it will make it look soo Pretty :rainbow-sun

I love hollyhocks, but I've got a rust problem here, I'm giving them a year off to see if I can break the cycle.
