New Clearance Acquisitions from Lowes

My local Lowes has trucks coming in at the beginning of the week, and every Monday and Tuesday they move the "old" inventory to the back and sell it for 75% off. I got begonias for a quarter, gorgeous lillies for $2.50 and all my bedding plants. On Monday and Tuesday there are always people waiting at the sale table. I've seen people load up 3 of the flat bed carts. I put the orange lillies in the back and the chickens ate the stamens, pollen must taste good.

Well we went into Home Depot this afternoon ...just for a roll of tar-paper? the roofing stuff? Anyway, I got bored and ended up looking for a discount rack and ended up ..after not finding one...purchasing tomatoes, basil, oregano, cilantro, flat leaf parsley, rosemary, dill, green and purple peppers, lettuces and thyme!!
Enough to start my daughter a herbal patch and then more for me!!! Let me tell you there was no discount. But I am a happy gardener...can't plant till tomorrow hopefully..the rains will stop.
