I used to have a small pickup truck. When the miles started adding up it began to give me trouble, so I gave it to my nephew. I really missed having a pickup, started keeping my eye out for a El camino. Last night I bought one a 1979, that a father and son where restoring. Dad lost his job, and they had to sell it. It has a 350 engine which I am told is powerfull, and is painted lavender!!! So if you see a purple el camino flying down the road with back full of plants beep hello.

Hey!

My "old toy" was a Ford Ranchero!

I put a v8 and standard tranny with floor shift in it. New owner painted it dove grey. If you see it - see if it can still "lay rubber" at a stop light! Have fun, NYBOY!

Congradulations Nyboy! But I'm not sure about the lavendar. I guess it would depend on the shade of it. It's so handy to have a truck. Glad you have yours now.

Nice! I have to have a truck also, mine is a shiny black Colorado with a black cap with tinted glass. It kind of looks like a hearse. Your truck would be easier to find in a parking lot.
